Final cost of b16a swap

Anyone done a Full b16a swap With tranny and all ? (im sure theres a few out there) Off of the net? Im proving a point to my buddy and saving up for my swap this summer, In american dollars, What are u looking at to have a stock, or modded b16a engine running well?

Here is my list of swap parts:

B16 full swap-trans, ecu, axles, int shaft
Clutchmasters clutch
Hasport mounts, linkage, harness
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Valve cover gasket
Alternator belt
Thermostat
Upper and Lower Radiator hose
Fuel Filter
Spark plugs and wires
New stock radiator
New crank and altenator pulleys

I shopped around and purchased all these parts for approximately 2700. I am doing the swap myself so there is no labor charge.

how much would labor charge usually be in canadian?

Sorry 2700 american. That is about average for all the crap I bought. The labor is anywhere between 500 and 700 usd from what I have seen.

and i'm already up to $4,365...and i'm prolly not even installing it myself and doing the engine rebuild....so i'm almost looking at 5grand...but i think this is a little more than what most people are doing (obviously). but the good thing is, i basically have a new motor after this...won't have to worry about much for a while. the average price for a complete 'basic' swap from a *good* shop is going to be anywhere from 3-3.5k. i can't believe all you other guys get stuff so cheap. i've come to the conclusion that you yankees can get things ALOT cheaper than we can down here in the south..kinda sucks. btw, all funds listed are $US.

my numbers are more like gota92si's..but i don't believe in being cheap and just getting the motor and mount kit. i replaced everything on my engine and had it totally rebuilt. turned out the rings were bad and the bearings were bad, so if i was a cheapskate and didn't rebuilt my b16 would have sucked. w/ motor, axles, clutch/flywheel, intake, exhaust, mount kit, ecu, tools, shipping..i'm prolly over 4g invested. and all work done by me.

ive been to a reputable shop here in dallas, and they want 5000 W/ hasport mounts, linkage, new belts, seals, etc. thats w/ labor and a warranty on the labor
